Sermon Notes

For the last few weeks, we have seen God’s call to be faithful, involved, and welcoming (which includes being restorative). Those principles challenge us in so many ways. The question that is raised in our text today pushes past that and concerns planning and following. Are we to set a plan, just sit around and wait for God to directly tell us, or is there more? God hasn’t called us to be robotic in our obedience; today, we will see that God must be followed while being obeyed.
